arc-de-ciel Posted April 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2010 We are cruising the Baltic on Balmoral July 26th to Aug 7th and are interested in forming a small group (up to 16) for a 2 day private tour of St Petersburg on 1st & 2nd Aug with Alla Tours who have excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. This seems a much better and probably cheaper way of seeing the best sights in St PB than with a coach load of 50-60 people organised by the cruise ship. Is there anyone on that cruise who is interested in joining us?
simonpjd Posted April 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Sounds a good idea. We did a Baltic cruise on P&Os Artemis a couple of years back and St Petersburg is pretty special. However please be aware that if you are not on an official tour you will have to arrange your own visa before you go. Dont miss the cossack folk show - its better than the ballet. Although you can organise a private evening trip to the Hermitage which may be brill if you are into museums. Enjoy.
stockcar Posted April 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2010 I used Alla a couple of years ago and had a fantastic tour at a good price. You DO NOT have to arrange your own visa. Alla is a state approved tour company and they arrange a group visa and send you the necessary paperwork to get you smoothly through immigration. No problems at all.
