Drink mixing contest?

It's fun! In the one I was in last fall you had to use rum, 1or2 liquors, and fruit juice or soda. The one I was in was a frozen drink contest. On CCL or other websites-look up CCL's liquor selections and you can get an idea of the liquor at the ship bars. I was one of the 5 finalists and I won the drink I made, a free drink coupon and a CCL cookbook. The winner won these things and a funship Freddy hat. His drink was featured then on the ship. I'd practice flipping liquor bottles and dancing while you make the drink. The judges said we basically tied but the guy that won had showmanship. He was a bartender in Miami and flipped bottles and danced while he made his drink. Good luck-it was really fun and on the contest is shown on the cruise video, so you meet lots of folks who recognize you from the video shown in the cabins. You can also buy the video and show your friends when you get home.

Last week on the Triumph, I had the following choices:

1) Rum, Vodka or Tequila

2)Butterscotch(yuck), blackberry brandy, apple pucker, blue Curacao, Kahlua, and about 10 other choices like this.

3) fruit juices or sprite.

You can't use anything with Caffeine, red bull, or anything that someone might be allergic to.

You can pour your drink over ice or they can add frozen slush to it.

The guy that won my contest used green apple pucker, rum, tequila, and frozen. He called it an "El gringo".
