Stores around Sheraton?

Anyone knows the area around Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino in San Juan?

We are staying there prior to our cruise and hope we can buy a few basic things before our cruise? Are there any drugstores around? Clothes stores?

There is a CVS drug store and market just a block away. Also there is a walgrens, radio shack, marshalls and others around the Plaza de Armas which is about 4-5 blocks away.

Thank you for the information.. now I was just checking this plaza de armas but it seems to be in Old San Juan.. the Sheraton I'm talking about is not in Old San Juan but by the airport.. are we talking about the same one?

My mistake, I thought you were at the Sheraton in OSJ. You are staying at the new one. I don't think there is much within walking distance to it.

We will also be staying at this hotel. It seems everything is a cab ride away or their is a bus stop across the street and you can ride the bus into old san juan for .75

Thanks. We will arrive in the late afternoon/evening, and depart max by noon the next day, so no much time to wander, but we will manage.

Yeah, unfortunately the new sheraton is pretty far away from everything...the area is just being developed so I'm not even sure what restaurants are there yet.

hello, we are flying in sat and staying at the new sheraton as well. Are you all by chance going on the caribben princess too? My concern is no where to go and eat that isn't expensive......

We are staying only next week and cruising Celebrity. I just sent the hotel an email asking about restaurants / stores around the area. If they reply, I will let you know what they say.
