Athens hotel near airport or dock?

I want to book a hotel near the airport or port in October as we're arriving late and leaving the next day for our cruise. I know the Sofitel is at the airport but wondeing if there are other hotels i should consider?

The Piraeus Theoxenia Hotel is probably the nicest in Piraeus (Athen's port). I suggest checking out Piraeus at tripadvisor.com to read the reviews of this and other hotels.

 

I don't know of any other hotels in or just outside the airport other than the Sofitel, but then, I've never looked for any either. :)
