Mykonos Rentals?

Does anyone know if you can rent a jeep in Mykonos for the day? Can you recommend where? Are there many places like in Santorini? What would you expect to pay? Also can you drive along the "main" strip or is it pedestrian only? And lastly, how far is the beach ( and which one is recommended)?

Not many, because it's a really tiny island: 5 or 6 miles north to south, perhaps 8 miles east to west; and the only real settlement is the main town, which is mainly pedestrian alleyways.

 

What a number of people do is hire ATVs, which you can do when you come ashore. There are a number of places in the town that do this - do a google search for 'Mykonos ATV'.

 

Beaches - the most popular ones are along the south coast. There's Platy Gialos, just over two miles from town, Paradise (a bit further), Super Paradise (a bit further still), Elia, and so on. You don't need a vehicle to get to these: there are buses to Platy Gialos and Paradise, you can walk from Paradise to Super Paradise, and (in high season) there are also caiques sailing along the coast.
