Carnival Fascination - April 8, 2010 - Owner Suite

We (Myself, DW, DS (29 mths) just returned from a 4 day (Nassau and Freeport) on the Fascination out of Jacksonville. Three weeks before we left I got a call for an upgrade to the Owner's Suite from a Cat 12 Extended balcony. I was hesitant to spend the extra money on a 4 day but it will be our last cruise for a while (DW is 22 weeks pregnant) so I decided to splurge. The cruise was nice and relaxing and as my previous experience on the Fascination (we have sailed her 3 times) the crew was amazing. I don't think I will spend the money on the Owner Suite for a short cruise again but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It was a flat fee of $1400 for 3 people on top of the Cat 12 suite price that had already been paid.

Great info and video. Very nice room but I was surprised to see the really obstructed balcony. Think we'll stick with our 12 if we get the call.

The view was actually amazing up that high, the life boat wasn't in the way, but I did miss being close to the water.

wow, that balcony is so small. I couldn't stand listening to the loud Lido deck music all the time when all I want to hear on the balcony is quiet and the water

When we were on the Inspiration last year they gave me the upsell call a couple of weeks prior to sailing. It was tempting but the cost for the upgrade alone was more than a mortgage payment, I couldn't do it.
