Bio Bay Post Cruise Question

We will be staying one night post cruise (Carnival Victory) for the sole purpose of doing a bioluminescent bay tour. I'm wondering the best way to get to the bio bay marina area for 9 people. Car rentals? Taxi? Public transportation?

 

Also any particular area you'd suggest to stay for the night that's good for getting to bio bay and getting to the airport the next morning for an early flight? I know it's impossible to be convenient to both, but is there a better area that works for pier - hotel - bio bay - hotel to sleep - airport?

 

Any advice is appreciated.

Do you have a preference on which biobay you visit? If you want to go out to Vieques and swim in the biobay you'll need to spend the night on that island (or there's one tour operator that will bring you back that night). There's also a biobay in Fajardo that you can't swim in, only kayak/boat. You could stay in Luquillo which is fairly convenient to both Fajardo and the SJU airport.

Personally, for one night, I would stay in the SJ area and just have the tour operator for the BioBay (whichever one you choose) provide transport (usually $20pp).

That way it takes stress off the airport day.
