Kauai Luau

My friend and I are thinking about booking several of our excursions through Roberts instead of through the cruise ship. Does anyone know if the luau that Roberts offers in Kauai is the same as the luau offered through the cruise ship?

I did the luau through Roberts on April 8. They take you to the Smith Family Luau on the Wailua River. It is about a 15 minute bus ride from the ship. NCL goes to the Luau Kalamaku. The bus only picked up 16 passengers at the ship. We joined probably 300 more people when we got to the tropical gardens, mostly from local resorts. If you want they will combine the Fern Grotto excursion with the luau.

 

We had a great time. The food was very good. It is run by the Smith Family. The grandfather welcomes everyone. The children and grandchildren are in the show. One of the "aunties" is the hostess. It is well-run and has a personalized feeling.

 

Our tickets said 4:30 p.m. pick-up and return at 8:30 p.m., but it was more like 9:30 p.m. when we got back to the ship.

 

I recommend Roberts. We did 4 excursions with them. I don't have one complaint and saved a bundle of money!!

Could you please give us more information on Roberts tours, we are cruising on June 19th and have always enjoyed off site smaller touring.

Their website is http://www.gorabbitgo.com Just put in your ship and sail date and they will tell you what they have available. Their drivers were always on time, helpful and courteous. The Roberts buses went to the same places as NCL. They are quite a bit less in price.
