colover Posted April 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in Barcelona with a nice outdoor pool? We'll be staying one night post cruise (after having spent two nights in Barcelona precruise). We figure we'll be tired and sight-seed out and just looking to veg out by the pool. Any suggestions? Close to the airport is a plus. Thanks!
trishs Posted April 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Hi, Where are you staying pre-cruise? We have reservation with the Brilliance pre-cruise Le Meridien (Las Rambles) but I was reading another board and didn't see much great things? Anyone have other suggestions. When I first started looking and trying to book some places wouldn't let me book one night. Trish
Andym Posted April 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Hi, We are booked into the Majestic. It has a pool on the roof with spectacular views. we have read many good reviews on this Hotel. Hope this helps. Andy
AltaJoe Posted April 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I was going to say the Majestic as well. I haven't been there, but the picture of the pool looks great. One caveat is that I have read that the pool is actually quite small and the pool area as well. But the view does look spectacular. Here is their website...http://www.hotelmajestic.es/eng/home.htm Personally we have just chosen the Continental Palacete based on several reviews we have read. Of note is location, charm, intimacy, free breakfast, and 24hr complimentary snacks and drink. We are paying a little extra for one of their best rooms overlooking the boulevard. It does not however, have a pool. Hope you enjoy the Majestic. Let us know your thoughts. Pacific Princess Oct. '95 Explorer of the Seas Nov. ClaudiaF Posted April 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2004 The Arts Hotel and The new Grand Marina both have swimming pools. We love the Arts hotel..have not stayed at the Grand Marina , but have heard great reviews about it. itsjb1 Posted April 21, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 21, 2004 We are booked at the NH Calderone. It has a small rooftop pool and is less costly than The Majestic, Arts or Grand Marina
colover Posted April 21, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted April 21, 2004 We're staying at the Hilton only because we have free nights there from business travel. I haven't tried to book one night yet. Hope I won't have a problem. Thanks for the info.
