CruisingGoddess Posted April 21, 2010 #27 Share Posted April 21, 2010 Not Texas southern. Very little sweet tea here! Really?! What part of Texas are you in? We've got sweet tea everywhere in Dallas. Even Taco Bell and McDonald's has it! :D I never had sweet tea until I moved out here.
donna5 Posted April 21, 2010 #28 Share Posted April 21, 2010 When I was a kid , it was "would you like some tea with that sugar" and now I can't stand it.
want2cruiseagain Posted April 21, 2010 #29 Share Posted April 21, 2010 When I was a kid , it was "would you like some tea with that sugar" and now I can't stand it. I think that is why I don't like iced tea. My DGM (East Texas) made ice tea in huge jugs and added sugar to it. I couldn't stand the sweetness. Put me off iced tea for sure. Rare PatriciaF Posted April 21, 2010 #30 Share Posted April 21, 2010 Tea--I had guests at work from TN. Ordered tea at lunch. They were shocked when they were served hot water and a tea bag. I like sweet tea and the McDonald's here in SoCal now have it available. Probably not the best dietary choice--but fun occasionally. Like the idea of the Arnold Palmer!
