Sheraton Day Pass

Hi All,

We are in Nassau for about 9 hours with our 20 month old son. Was considering the British Colonial Hilton for a day of pool and beach but not sure I love the idea of swimming right next to the ships. It just seems more polluted and less serene. Plus, Id rather look out on the horizon and not 3 large ships! Although, I hear the BCH is very quiet.

Been seeing a lot of posts on the Sheraton. Wondering if this is a better option as far as nicer beach and pool.

a few questions:

1)- How long is the bus ride?

2)-Can you purchase the passes in advance? if so, how much and where? I went on the site and only saw the Day Pass with hotel room option for $99.00

3)- Out of the two choices (Sheraton or the BCH), which is the nicer option overall.

Thank yoU!

I have not been to either yet but I just booked a day pass to the Sheraton today for our trip in May. I agree that the Hilton beach is not that appealing being right next to the ships etc. They "Day pass" on the web site allowed me to put 2 aduts and our 2.5 yo DD in a room for $99 with access to the beach and pool. We have a third adult which added $18 to the price. I was told the cab ride is about $20 min. I'm sure it is longer if you take the bus. I thinik you can also by regular day passes to the pool and beach without getting a room but I've read on here that you can only get them the day of your arrival and they are first come first serve. I think I read they are $40 per person.

Best of luck and have a great trip.

the sheraton/wyndam also has a $40 day pass deal -include access to the beach the pools and towel use --also includes their lunch buffet in the dining room next to the casino--we were there last year and the beach and pools were great --you can take a cab for about $5.00 per person or ride the # 10 jitney for $1.25 per person --its about a 20 minute trip on the bus and you get a little flavor of the island

bus stop is right in front of the wyndam --in town the bus is about 2 blocks from senior frogs

Hi,

I was there in April with my family (2 boys 4 & 2). You can't buy the day pass in advance, as I emailed them ahead of time. I was a little worried about them possibly "running out", however I after spending a day there during Easter Week and this not being a problem, I think you will be just fine.

They charged us 25pp for the adults and the kids were free. I checked out this resort and BCH and I was extremely pleased with the Sheraton. It's a really nice property. Your 20 month old will enjoy their zero entry pool and splash around. Also, the beach is gorgeous......

We took the bus there.....I will caution you on this one....You have to walk a bit to get to the Jitney/Bus.......If you take it.....get on #10. It's 1.25 per person and it will drop you off at the Sheraton. You just call out BUS STOP when you see the Sheraton and it stops.

I will tell you that I opted for a taxi back to the ship and I am thinking your family will appreciate the taxi over the bus. It's 5 pp but they gave us a break on the kiddies. You can negotiate this.... The ride is about 15 minutes long.

Let me know if you have any more questions and enjoy your cruise!

Hi, I can't speak on behalf of the Sheraton but my husband and I were at BCH last June. It was close to the ship (just around the corner it seemed), it was clean, the beach was sandy, the water was calm, it was QUIET, lots of chairs to lounge in, under a palapa in the sand, a pool, outside bar, etc, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the few hours we were there.

We didn't have to take a bus (jitney) which was nice as we didn't want to have the hassle of figuring out where they were and which one to get and we could return to the ship at our convenience which was nice.

It was a very nice area to be in. You're not really staring at the ships, yes you are in the harbor area, but we were so busy reading, relaxing, swimming, etc that where we were located wasn't a negative impact.

It was small compared to the Mexican AI resorts I've been to which was also a positive.

I know I'm rambling but it was a nice resort for a day at the beach or pool. I think you're going to enjoy yourselves wherever you decide to go. This worked for us because it was close, clean, quiet and hassle free to get to.

Enjoy!
