HD Kodak Playsport

I placed my order for a Kodak Playsport digital HD underwater camcorder ( http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-PlaySpor.../dp/B0030MITDK ).

 

I was looking for something to use and abuse, so this was perfect. $150, it can go down to 10 feet under water, rugged, small, and high def. Hopefully it'll be a hassle free way to capture our adventures on video (I want to take it snorkeling, jet-skiing, even surfing!). Just about the only thing I can't do with it is scuba diving when I'm in Nassau (we'll be diving more than 10 feet).

 

I'll let everyone know how it works after I play with it. it should be arriving tomorrow.

I just read your note on this forum and noticed that you are scheduled to sail on the Carnival Liberty later this year. I sailed on this ship with my daughter during June 2008 and really enjoyed everything. This ship is decorated quite nicely...not quite as loud and garish as the other Joe Farcus ships he has designed. I hope everyone in your group has a great cruise...am sure you will. Rob :)

We live on the West coast so we don't get to cruise out of Fla. often due to airfare ect. We got great deals on both this year (and I had promised ds we'd go back when he turned 16) So really lloking forward to it. Have never been on the Liberty. Looking for a good underwater camera for the beautiful water there!!

We haven't used it underwater yet (4 more days!!) but have used it at our sons' baseball games and it works great! Takes great photos and video. I'll let you know how it is when we get back!
