Mullett Bay vs Dawn Beach?

Will be visiting St. Martin in June. Have been to Orient Beach before and while we really like it we are looking for something else this time around. Any recommendations for Mullett Bay or Dawn Beach from someone who has been there recently? Any idea how much a taxi would cost to these beaches from the cruise ship pier? Someone in an earlier thread mentioned a bus? Any information would be appreciated!

Taxis are available at the Cruise Facility to both beaches.

There is a local bus available to Mullet Bay Beach, but not to Dawn.

 

I'd base my decision on the weather conditions when I arrived. If the wind is up from the Atlantic, Mullet is probably your best bet.

Just looked at your Americas Cup pics and we had Ernie as our Captain too! Loved that excursion so much that we are doing it again in about ~3 weeks.

Where would you recommend staying if you went to Dawn Beach - need to rent chairs, umbrella and where would we eat? How much was the taxi?
