princessh Posted April 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2010 We will be in Barbados in Sept. There are a few places we want to go. Harrisons Cave St. Johns Church Bathsheba Accra beach Is it possible to fit this all in, in one day? I am a little unsure about Harrisons cave. We have been to the caves here in the states, so I am not sure if they would be any different. Also we are looking for a reasonably priced tour guide. that could take us to these places. Any recommendations? Thanks in Advance!
cruiser620 Posted April 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2010 We didn't visit the cave, but people who did seemed to like it. I read in a guidebook, though, that it doesn't begin to compare to the caves we've visited in the US including Mammoth Cave in Kentucky and Luray Caverns in Virginia. We opted to tour the island rather than spending a lot of time underground. My favorite things were the wildlife reserve (the animals are not in cages, but are right there where you are walking -- and where else are you going to see monkeys riding tortoises?!..lol) and North Point (absolutely awesome with pounding surf carving rock formations). There are several good tour companies mentioned repeatedly on these boards. We went with Glory Tours.
