shipping purchases

Wondering if the stores offer shipping for purchases? Is it pretty reasonable? Don't want to carry a lot and don't want to overload suitcases.

We had purchases shipped from a shop in Sitka - don't recall the exact amount, but it was quite reasonable and we didn't need to worry about bringing a rather large handcarved sign for our cabin home in checked luggage.

The first time I went to Alaska 3 years ago, I had my purchases from Glacier Smoothies(soaps) in Juneau shipped home. I also know there some stores in Ketchikan that ship things home including Scanlon Gallery and Ketchikan Candies.
