Jewel casino questions

My cruise is booked and I can't wait to go. First time on an NCL ship. What time does the casino open once you leave NY? How late does the casino stay open - I should say what time does the casino close - the slot machines?

Can you just sign up for a casino card or do you have to wait for a slot attendant to offer a casino card?

I've read on this site that slot machines are very tight on cruise ships. A friend of mine was in Vegas recently and she was telling me about this slot machine that she played and she saw someone really hit big amounts with a small bet. The machine is called Wicked Winnings II.

Does anyone that has been on the Jewel know if they have the Wicked Winnings slot machine in the casino?

Do they have old slots such as jackpot party or any machines that have 9 lines to play?

I really enjoy some of the old slots where 90 cents was a max bet. Do they have any of those slots?

The casino opens around 7:30 when you leave from NYC. As soon as you board, you can go the casino and sign up for your players card. I don't know when it closes exactly. I never closed it down.

The slots were very tight for me, but that is OK. I play for the possibility of winning! I was just in the Jewel Casino last week and didn't see Wicked Winnings II.

They have many multi line machines. 3, 4, 5 up to 50 lines in fact! Many machines are electronic and you can choose to bet whatever you want on any line.

I hope you win BIG!!!

Just off the Jewel~

The casino opened approx. 6:30-7pm when we left NYC. Not 100% sure

There is a section to the right when you walk in from the main enterance where you can sign up for a CAS player's card. If you booked through the CAS or other casino that does land/sea comps., your cards will be in your cabin. Free drink card comes with it.

I didn't see Jackpot Party or Wicked Winnins on this ship but there was quite a few different kinds.

Not sure if the casinos on ships are tight since we won and lost : ) Saw a lady on her second pull, win $2,000.

It was tons of fun and a nice little escape from the kiddies : )

I will be on a cruise in July on the Jewel. I am curious about the type of slots that the casino has. If you happen to be on the Jewel before my July cruise can you post the names of some of the slot machines that you played or saw in the casino.

I've read and heard that the slot machines on cruise lines are extremely tight compared to land-based casinos. Maybe posters on this site can post and tell everyone which machine they played that gave the most play for their money.

I have that casino itch. Enjoy your cruise.
