What to see with a car rental?

I have read the threads about not renting a car. We've been in and out of many of the caribbean islands and the driving does not concern us. So for those that want to post negatives about renting a car, please do so somewhere else.

What I am looking for is recommendations on what to see with car. We are thinking the Trafalgar Falls. Since we are unsure of how big the island is, can anyone tell us what we will have time to fit in our day?

Thanks!

Positive - I would suggest hitting Trafalgar and Emerald Falls then if time permits go the Rain Forest Tram. You should be able to get these in a full day.

A little negative/warnings - Getting a rental car and dropping it off has wasted as much as 2-3 hours on my visits there.

Sometimes I have gotten one and returned it in the normal 30-60 minutes BUT you are on Dominican time which is a whole nother version of Island time.

The driving is interesting but nothing to dangerous just pay attention! and be ready to move out of the way of local drivers, you will not be traveling as fast as they are...

And I recommend Road Runners - http://www.roadrunnercarrental.com/ - cell 767-276-3804
