mahassiddasairy Posted May 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2010 I'm thinking about switching out our Otter Quest (motorboat) in Sitka for a kayaking excursion. Does anyone know if the kayaking tours see a lot of otter? The only reason I'd switch it is if we could see roughly the same amount of otter, just in a more active setting. I searched the archives, and, while there were a few reviews of kayaking in Sitka, no one mentioned anything about the otter.
Obtuse1 Posted May 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2010 You might want to check out one of the operators that offer a boat ride to a scenic / wildlife abundant area and then puts you in a kayak for a paddle. Some of them specifically mention abundant otter sightings. Google something like " Half Day Sitka Sound Cruise & Paddle " and I am sure you will find something that seems like what you are looking for.
