Card games on MSC?

I am an American living in Italy for the past couple of years. I will be departing on MSC Magnifica in August with my sister. We both enjoy casinos. I have learned since living here that Europeans, especially Italians, play a lot of cards but not like ours. Their suits are different i.e. their cards have things like cups, swoards, coins rather than hearts, spades, clubs and they play with a larger deck that US. Okay, so here's my question. Has anyone played cards on MSC (Italian line) and noticed the cards? If you played cards of any sort and they were European cards, you can't miss them. Considering about half of the reviews from MSC is more negative, part of my keeping an open mind and enjoying myself will be the casino, the ports and apparently giving up eating as the food on this cruise has gotten such a bad rap. So if anyone can put my mind at ease and enlighten me I'd be forever grateful.
