Is there any real value in these suites above that of the Concierge level.

Well, it depends on how important is space to you. The PH's are exactly 1.5 times as wide, and therefore 1.5 times as much space (they are all the same length) as the A's and B's. The washing closets of the A's and B's are tiny, especially the shower stalls (you have to rub against the wall or the plastic curtain unless you are really slim). However, they are otherwise comfortable and functional, with a very good bed. The PH's have a shower/tub combo, and the "bathrooms" are larger. If the trip is short and the premium on the PH's high (e.g. $1500 per person for two weeks or less), save the money. If the trip is long (24 to 35 days as on some Asian voyages) and the premium not too high (around $1000 per person), by all means take the PH (save the business class air fare premium which lasts for 2x10 hours, and use part of it for the "suite" premium instead, which lasts for weeks!) Hope this helps.

Or splurge and do both! Who deserves it more than you? (Other than me, that is! LOL!)

Thanks for the input....we are actually thinking about an Owners Suite for the trip and trying to get info.

We were in a PH1 last time for a 14 day cruise and it was just a $400 difference per passenger.

 

We chose it over a standard cabin so we would have some roon. We could both get dressed in the room at the same time. We could even unpack and pack at the same time. When you have breakfast in your cabin you actually have room to eat.

 

We spent more time in our cabin and on our balcony on the Regatta because there really are fewer public areas than you would find on a larger ship and less liklihood to find one to your liking.

 

This is not really a suite, but if you don't plan to entertain in your cabin, it is fine.

Life seems just so complicated with all the info kindly offered. There are so many contradictions all over the Boards but I guess "you pay your money and you makes your choice"

I think we have settled on a PH1 as the Vista Suites seem to be less private, so thanks to you all and hopefully all wil be well.
