Yeah I know. I was just making a "play on words" with the magic thing. But like I said, there's nothing up here(Philly), be it Carnival or otherwise. If you want to drive to a port it's NY or Baltimore area and maybe Norfolk occasionally.

Ahh gotcha. :) Maybe in a few years after the Breeze comes over to the US they'll have an extra ship somewhere. :D

I just heard that the Houston Bayport terminal will be getting a cruise ship in November 2011.

Well darn...came home..sitting on deck looking at the lake with wine and my cigarettes..planning on a peaceful evening and then I decide to check on my Triumph December pricing...woohoo down $40..filled out the price protection form...and thought what the heck everything is going so well, I think i will come here to see where the Magic, Conquest, Triumph and Ecstasy are gonna be headed.....and now I am glad I am drinking and smoking...because this is gonna drive me CRAZY!!!! :rolleyes::p:D

Never thought of it that way - lol. I use a CruiseVvacation Specialist instead of a Personal Vacation Planner (PVP)

Good morning everyone. We can't expect to hear any announcements from Carnival over the weekend. Maybe Monday?

 

I would not be surprised to hear that the announcements were delayed while contracts were being signed with the new Bayport terminal or the large expansion of the Julia Terminal in New Orleans. I am sure these 2 cities did not spend millions of dollars for nothing on these terminals and both ports mention talks with cruise lines to bring ships there.

 

And Spirit still remains as the only Carnival ship that they have not posted sailing dates on through April 2012. I wonder why?

RCL's Voyager of the Seas is using the Julia St terminal on Friday's so I can't imagine that's an issue.

You know what I did? I was looking at the 2010 calendar for some reason. That explains it. :D

They said earlier this week that it would "within" a few weeks.......meaning they are waiting on something and once that is done they will say....which could be done any day....so it's basically any day now :)

 

 

Magic homeport is no secret, they just are not announcing it yet. Galveston is the homeport, I did not ask about other ships, etc. Just hung up with PVP. Will call me when they open bookings, we are bookng Magic for Thanksgiving 2011. Call Your PVP, they know.
