GTJ Posted June 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2010 As a result of budgetary cutbacks, MTA New York City Transit is discontinuing all weekend service on its local bus that serves the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Effective Sunday, June 27, 2010, bus route M50 will no longer operate on either Saturday or Sunday. Route M50 buses will continue to operate weekdays from approximately 4:38 a.m. until 1:00 a.m., serving the terminal with bus stops on 49 and 50 Sts at 12 Av. On weekends, the closest remaining public transportation to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal will be the M42 bus, on the west side of 12 Av between 42 and 43 Sts, and the M11 bus on 10 Av at 49 St and 9 Av at 50 St. More information on the service reductions, and a revised Manhattan bus map, can be found here. http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/RouteChanges http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/RouteChanges/pdf/manbus-710.pdf http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/RouteChanges/pdf/busman2-710.pdf

Folks were just getting adventuresome in exploring the public transit options.
