dorikirkland@embarqmail.c Posted June 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2010 Has anyone done a shore snorkel in Cozumel lately? I have been reading that it is not so good since the hurricane. It will be my kids first time--want it to be great!

Stevesan Posted June 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Has anyone done a shore snorkel in Cozumel lately? I have been reading that it is not so good since the hurricane. It will be my kids first time--want it to be great! Hurricane Wilma spared the off shore reefs, but virtually destroyed the near shore reefs. However, if you don't mind dead coral, the marine life has since returned so you will still see a lot of fish. It should be fine for first time kiddies. Try Chankanaab Park. The youngsters will love it. Lots of other activities available there. http://www.cozumelparks.com/ Cozumel Insider is a good source for all things Cozumel: http://cozumelinsider.com/
