Occy Posted June 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2010 We are planning a trip for our 50 anniversary. We have always liked Hawaii therefore we'd like to incorporate a stay in Hawaii coupled with a cruise i.e. sailing to Hawaii then disembarking and spending 3 weeks on Kauai & Maui OR if we can't do that, flying to Hawaii doing a return cruise to Fiji and then 3 weeks in Hawaii before flying back home. Has anyone ever planned a trip like that. Is it possible to do using Princess ??? I looked on their website but cldn't find anything for late Oct./Nov. Our anniversary is actually 2nd week of November '11 so we'd like to be away for the actual day. Thx. so much for your help, I really appreciate it. CSloan Posted June 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2010 What about a Tahiti to Hawaii cruise? It starts in Tahiti, cruising those islands, then cruises to Hawaii and cruises those islands. You could do a precruise in the Tahiti area, and post cruise in Hawaii. We're on the November 5 cruise. It's 12 nights.
California Native Posted June 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2010 Aloha! At the end of the Alaska season you can find a Vancouver to Hawaii cruise but it won't be in October and Nov Princess does a HNL-Tahiti cruise and return They don't do a Fiji Cruise from Hawaii However, there are Fiji/New Caledonia Cruises from Sydney Australia Regarding a land trip... Personally, I would add in the Big Island and reduce your time in Maui Hawaii will be swamped around Thanksgiving week, so I would recommend that you avoid the islands then A hui hou! Cruisin' Chick Posted June 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2010 Unfortunately, you can't do that on the Princess cruises that originate out of LA due to the Passenger Services Vessels Act. Even if you "accidentally" don't get back on board the ship during one of the port stops, you will be fined due to a violation of the act (plus you won't get any of the rest of the cruise prorated),

janina Posted June 20, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2010 If you do a pre or post cruise stay in Kuaii, I would definately not miss staying at the Hyatt. That would be my ideal place for a great anniversary. The grounds are breathtaking.:)
