Couchiching Posted June 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Can anyone tell me whether there is parking at the terminal in Boston? Is it convenient/close by and how much can we expect to pay per day? Not sure whether to find a hotel that will include parking with a pre/post cruise stay. 138east Posted June 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2010 Parking is $16/day for cruise guests at the Black Falcon Terminal. You have several options for 9/17. Are you planning on sightseeing in Boston at all? That will affect your choices 1) www.trinity.reservations.com for hotel with parking. Embassy Suites - $203 incl tax Holiday Inn Saugus - $130 incl tax Wyndham Chelsea - $145 incl tax Cab to port or hotel shuttle back to the airport and then cab to the port. Embassy suites is almost on the airport property and has good access to the pier and to the "T" to downtown Boston. The Holiday Inn is 8 miles away in Saugus (much more expensive cab ride directly to the pier) and the Wyndham is 3 miles away in Chelsea (medium cab ride to the pier). You would not have easy access to Boston from the Holiday Inn and the Wyndham, and some of their savings would be eaten up by more expensive cab fares. If you can manage your luggage at all, you have the option of taking the hotel shuttle from any of these hotels back to the airport and transferring to the Silver Line bus. For $2/pp you can take the Silver Line to World Trade Center, cross over the platform (elevators available), and take the SL2 Silver Line to Black Falcon terminal. The stop is very close to where the porters take your luggage for the cruise. 2) There is a 4* "Waterfront" hotel on Hotwire for $139 ($168 incl tax) that is most likely the Westin. This is a very nice hotel - the "T" is a block away. Parking would be $112 at Black Falcon plus another night somewhere at $25. Please note that there other hotels which offer parking, but generally they are more expensive than the Trinity offerings (Trinity always offers tax included rates whereas other quotes may not include tax).
