Questions about Hurricane season

Recommended Posts

It all depends. If Carnival cancels the sailing, they will refund your money. This is highly unlikely, though. More likely is that you will sail with an altered itinerary but the ship will sail if at all possible.

If the ship still sails and you can't get to the port, then that is one of the things travel insurance covers. Just like the airlines, weather is out of Carnival's control so it's up to the insurance to kick in.

If not able to dock back at home, they could add days to your cruise or take you to an alternate port to disembark. Again, travel insurance would kick in for any flight changes or alternate transportation arrangements you would have to make due to the change.

What happens if we can not leave on our cruise? Or what happens if we can not go to a port? or not able to dock back at home? All info is welcomed.

If you cannot get to the port it is not the fault of the Cruiseline. Buying trip insurance is highly recommended for this.

If the ship is delayed because of bad weather you will board at a later time with usually a credit.

If the ship you are on cannot port on schedule because of weather and you are delayed (again trip insurance) have a few extra boat drinks during the delay....Even if it is a day or two which has happened....;)
