DB019 Posted February 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Has anyone taken the Beginning Scuba tour? I am considering signing up for this tour thru Carnival. I was curious if it is worth the cost and how much actual scuba experience the tour provides. Thanks
bruce-r Posted February 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2005 I don't know about the specific tour thru Carnival, but a typical discover scuba experience should include around 30 minutes underwater. You didn't say what the cost was, but I'd expect to pay around $75 which is what it cost at http://abanksdivers.com.ky/. http://www.edenrockdive.com/index.html also offers discover scuba, but their site doesn't give a price. DB019 Posted February 7, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Bruce: Thanks for the URL's. The price thru Carnival is $109 pp, which seems a little high. Appreciate your feedback, I'll check out this other oppertunity.

Appreciate your feedback, I'll check out this other oppertunity. You are sure welcome. Please don't think that I am endorsing either of these dive operations. I haven't used either one, they are just quite close to where the tenders dock so they are convenient for the cruise passenger. There are more than 30 dive operator on Grand Cayman as listed on the official divecayman website Hope this helps
