gratuities and drinks?

Recommended Posts

Are the gratuities charged to your account right before you get off the ship or do they charge you the first day? Also is there a drink of the day card still happening. If not how much are the drink of the days usually? I leave in a few days and I am super excited!!!!!

The gratuities are charged to your account the first day. Not too sure about the drink of the day card and I believe the drink prices range for $5-8.00 We are too getting excited for our cruise...we leave for our 8 day cruise July 31st!! :D:D

(As I understand it..we always prepay the gratuities)

The gratuities are posted to your acct, meaning they show

up when you check your S&S card, but they are not charged

until the end, meaning you can opt to go and pay your bill

in cash if you desire.

No, the DoD cards are gone. They were for a limited time only.

Many wish they would come back.

DoD in the fancy cup are about $7.50 + 15% auto tip added

You can get the DoD in a regular glass for $5.95? I think??

but it is only slightly smaller.

Don't forget that you can also have the DoD glass refilled at a lower cost. So you basically get the larger size for the regular glass cost if I remember correctly. And, it doesn't really matter what color the glass is (unless they've changed). You could actually buy one first day and reuse the glass the rest of the cruise if you wanted.

I try to quit carrying those darn things home. I don't use them after the cruise and have no idea why I have so many sitting around my house but haven't been able to bring myself to throw them away.
