Bats and Cave Tubing?

lynyrd

Recommended Posts

It has been a few years since I did cave tubing in Belize (during month of Aug.) so I can only guess that it is still the same. There were a few bats in the ceiling of the cave but went unnoticed until our guide pointed them out. They were sleeping - not flying around. I also would have been quite freaked out if they were flying around me.

We were just there two weeks ago and we saw a couple of bats way up near the top of the cave. They don't buzz you or anything. They were nowhere near us really. I wouldn't worry about it. If you do see them, they'll be a long way away from you.
