Nice beach on Grand Cayman with snorkeling

We are looking for a beach day in gc with snorkeling from the beach. we have tours planned for all the other ports and thought we would rest a little ongrand cayman. is this a good place to do this or should we plan a boat snorkel with one of the operators and rest somewhere else?

Rum Point is gorgeous, but takes some planning to get to (renting a car or going on an excursion that includes a stop there) and there is some snorkeling, but nothing great. The problem with "nice beach/good snorkeling" is that "nice beach" means sandy bottom and "good snorkeling" requires reefs and rocky bottoms.

 

I'd vote for locating a tour operator that offers the things you're looking for.

Thanks ,thats what i thought . i have been trying to find some operators that offer small tours. capt. marvins got good reviews but they would not tell me how many people they take out at one time. i'll keep looking.
