runner5 Posted July 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2010 Just wondering people's opinion what to do: Glacier Point Wilderness excursion or rent a car and do the drive with Murray's guide?
Yukon Posted July 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2010 That's an apples-and-oranges comparsion that will depend on your interests and your budget. The Glacier Point trip always gets rave reviews.
dcsetman Posted July 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2010 I agree - it's an Apples/Oranges type question - however, from personal experience - at least one of your trips to Alaska in your lifetime, you should do the Glacier Point Wilderness Trip. We did it on our first trip and still highly recommend it to anyone going through Skagway! It packs in so much adventure and sightseeing, totally worth it! socalhal Posted July 14, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Completely agree with dcsetman. We did GPWS in 2004. Highlight excursion of the trip. Cruising back this summer and we are doing Avis/Murrays Guide in Skagway.
