Transportation from IAH to Galveston pier

Does anyone know the approximate cost from the airport to the pier via taxi or car/limo service? I know what the transfers from the cruise line are, but was just wondering what the "other" modes of transportation might run? Thanks for any input!

Check with galvestonlimo.com for a price. Also call Enterprise Rent a Car at their Galveston office as they apparently have been giving some pretty good deals on a car down and a return car, but you have to call the Galveston office to get it.

Try http://www.galveston.com/transportation/ for different companies offering service from Houston to Galveston. I have personally used Extreme Elegance for a group I booked in October and the price was good and service great.

If you have a group of 10, Galveston Limousine will give you a great deal for a private shuttle. Otherwise, I believe it is $60. RT.

Taxi from Galveston to IAH is $110, $70 to Hobby. Assume it's the same the other way around.

Depending on the company it varies anywhere from $100 to $150 each way plus gratuities. It might be a bit higher if you are going from IAH to the port of Galveston; the prices that I got were from downtown Houston to Galveston. :)
