Mercury with young teenagers

We're thinking about booking the Mercury out of Baltimore in November. We've never been on Celebrity before, and we were wondering if there are a lot of teens on Celebrity ships. We have two girls, 15 and 13, and we're hoping there will be things for them to do and other teens to hang out with. Any advice?

Thanks,

Steve

We were on the Thanksgiving cruise on Mercury last year and there were quite a number of teenagers. As it was over a holiday, there were about 200 kids on board. The only complaints we heard were that many families were planning their beach day for the stop at Coco Cay. Unfortunately due to high seas, that stop was cancelled. If your planned cruise is over Thanksgiving, visit our roll call:)

I just came back from the Celebrity Summit cruise to Canada and New England. I'm fifteen, so I spent most of the time with the teen club. On my cruise, there weren't many teens in the older age group (15-17), but quite a number in the younger group (12-14). The most important thing is to go to the teen club the first night to meet everyone because that is when the friend groups are established. To be honest, I didn't have very good/responsible teen club heads, so there were times where we'd be locked out of the teen club. In the end, your teens' experience will depend on the friends they make, which is really based on luck.

All in all, I'm sure they will have a wonderful time and make some great friends as I did last week :)
