bruexx Posted July 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Haven't been to St Maarten in awhile, just wondering whether Cheri's Restaurant is still there+ is the food as good as it was few years ago? Considering going out that way for lunch,on the one day we are there in Oct/10. Thanks Bruce H.
gtaylor Posted July 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Well, it's still there. It's closed on Tuesdays, and they close for several weeks during the September/October timeframe. But it's still there. gary
mass02703 Posted July 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2010 I was just at Cheri's last week and loved it. The food was fantastic and the show even better. I loved everything about the place, definitely will be returning on my next visit!
gtaylor Posted July 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2010 In our opinion, Cheri's is lame, corny, cheesey and lots of other negative adjectives that don't come to mind right now. We went there on one of our earliest visits to the island and then finally again (against our best intentions) about six years ago because our visiting friends had heard of it, and it was a total disaster. The drinks were weak and the food was barely acceptable, but relatively expensive. The 'floorshow' was ridiculous. I would never recommend Cheri's to a friend. gary p.s. As far as I know, the 'show' is only in the evening, so anyone on a cruise would not be subjected to it. Lunch there may be ok.
Karysa Posted July 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2010 We have been only once. We had heard how much fun it was. Our kids liked the "clappers" that they used during the show but the food was sub-par and the service was dreadful. We found no reason to return and have never recommended it.
