KyleSS Posted July 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2010 We are new to Searbourn and taking our first cruise in September. We will be on the Sojourn and wonder if they've been charging the fuel surcharge at $15 per person per day? Do they add this the charge to our onboard account? PeaSea8ch Posted July 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2010 As far as I know, not yet. However, the Seabourn brochure states that when the price of oil exceeds $70 per barrel, Seabourn reserves the right to charge a fuel surcharge even after final payment has been made. If the surcharge is applied near embarkation, I assume it would be charged to your shipboard account. For what it is worth, Cunard is assessing fuel surcharges on all bookings made from May 10, 2010 onward applicable to voyages sailing on November 1, 2010 or later at $3.85 per traveling person per day subject to a maximum of $154 per person.
