We, myself (54) DD (24, 19, 13, 13) went on the 4 day Glory out of NY to St. John. This is my first review, 9th cruise, so I will try and categorize areas.

EMBARKATION- We live in NJ. We took a 30 minute train to Penn Station NY and a cab to the pier. The cab took less than 10 minutes and cost $15 with tip. We passed easily through security and was on the Lido eating lunch by 11:30.

FOOD- Food in all areas was very good. We tried many different things and there were no complaints. We had the 8:15 seating (just the 5 of us at one table) and the service was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating.

We had breakfast on the Lido, all very good and a tasty lunch in the MDR.

CASINO- Crowded, but slots were always available. Did not play at the tables.

CABINS- We had 2 cabins. One inside on the Riviera deck and an OV on Main. Both were always clean and were spacious enough. Room stewarts were friendly and kept everything in order. We had towel animals every night.

SHOWS- Shows were okay. The dancers and singers were good the second night- an American variety show. Comedians were not funny. Jokes were old and dated. Enjoyed the entertainment outside of the casino and also in the lobby. Deck dancing was also fun.

CAMP CARNIVAL and TEEN CAMP- did not use it

SEA DAYS- Pools were open, except the last day because it was so windy. All sports were also canceled.

St. JOHN- We had a beautiful sunny day. We rented a car from Avis, across from the ship. We rented a small SUV for $66. We drove along the Bay of Fundy to the National Park. We stopped at many of the look-outs and hiked the area. We stopped at the sea caves- they were amazing. We ate great lobster rolls and seafood chowder at the Seaside Restaurant near the caves. We stopped at the Reversing Falls in St. John and had a beer at a brew pub near the ship.

DISEMBARKATION- One daughter had left her car at the ship. so we carried our bags off ourselves and were back home by 9:15.

We had a really fun time. We relaxed a lot and enjoyed each other and the great cruise ship.

Sounds like you had a nice time! We will also be on the Glory in September. I am hoping that maybe you can help answer a question I have about the Disembarkation time. What time would you suggest to have a car service pick us up? We dock at about 8:00 am. Are we allowed to stay on the ship till a certain time? Thanks in advance!
