ETski Posted August 9, 2010 #28 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Cyndi, Great review and pictures. Thanks for spending the time posting your great cruise to Canada. We are doing the 4 day cruise on the Glory in few weeks. Can't wait!!! I have a question regarding the trolley tour, did you book it though Carnival or on your own? CyndiAKADisneyqueen Posted August 9, 2010 Author #29 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Cyndi, Great review and pictures. Thanks for spending the time posting your great cruise to Canada. We are doing the 4 day cruise on the Glory in few weeks. Can't wait!!! I have a question regarding the trolley tour, did you book it though Carnival or on your own? We booked through Carnival. It was only $30 pp. I know it was worth the $30 to us. It gave us an overview of the area and still left plenty of time to explore the downtown area. makeup face Posted August 9, 2010 #30 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Cindi, I loved your review and pictures. My family and I were on there cruise in 2005Not too much has changed...especially in St John. We were on Princess Cruise and they did not offer the Black History cruise:( So what I did was take the information for Carnival and developed my own Black tour. My daddy rented a car and off we went. I had call the museum a couple of weeks before to get some information about the day we would be in Nova Scotia. I spoke with a young man...I believe his name was Wane. Well he was there that day and volunteer to take us around.......so we packed him in the car.....and spent the next three hours touring around the neighborhood. It was really really nice. My mother fell in love with the tapestry of the old Black woman made of different shades panty hoses at the museum. Thanks again for the review;)

nothomeonacruise Posted August 9, 2010 #34 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I am enjoying your blog. I think your pictures are very detailed and very thorough. What a coincedence with your bus! Our last cruise we met a couple and their parents from our hometown. We didn' t know them, but it was funny that someone from our town was there. I'll be on the Glory in November, but we're going the other direction. I'd love to visit Canada one day. I'm sooo curious about those reverse falls I keep reading about. I'm waiting for the next installment.:)

CyndiAKADisneyqueen Posted August 13, 2010 Author #41 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Okay...were those chicken wings as good as they looked:eek: I don't think they were chicken wings, but I got to admit I enjoyed every one of my meals. I'm not a picky eater so they only complaint I found with the food onboard was the eggs they served in the morning. Other then that everything was good (also helped that I didn't have to cook or clean up afterwards)! :)
