CBowling Posted August 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2010 I am reading that a lot of pre-cruise bids on priceline are getting the Doubletree or Crowne Plaza near the port of San Pedro. There are actually 17 3 1/2 stars listed on the website. How can I guarantee to get near the port?? Any ideas? Thanks!
fpcruiser Posted August 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2010 When naming your own price, choose San Pedro area only. The other 3 1/2 hotels listed are in neighboring areas. You may have to bid many times, it seems they accept $65 every once in while but not always. It took me 2 months of bidding to get it at that price. CBowling Posted August 7, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted August 7, 2010 Thanks so much! When I switched to San Padro the selection was much smaller. I did get the Crowne Plaza on the 1st try for $65.00 on Oct. 26th. The cruise board ROCK! You guys are the best.

My faith has been restored in the $65 rate .... this spring we couldn't get it for $85 so went to Long Beach and it cost us a $20 cab fare to come back to the pier.:o
