Vancouver Hotels/how soon for Priceline bidding

Recommended Posts

Hallo :)

Hubby and I are going to take a cruise out of Vancouver next May and I am feverishly searching for how soon to start bidding on a 4* Hotel on Priceline. Many say to start as soon as your plans are definite (ours are now) but I am wonderring if all the 4* Hotels would release rooms this early in the game.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I posted this in the Vancouver forums because I think bidding for hotels in Vancouver is a little different based on 'cruise season' rather than bidding on hotels say, in the middle of someplace else.

Thank you, in advance, for any insight :)

You could try now...but I would wait until the new year and maybe even leave it as late as 60 before your cruise. Certainly if you bid now or even in January I would set a limit as to high you will go and if you don't get the room at your price then I would back off for a few week or even a month before trying again.
