Waters too rough to tender in?

I have read that if the water is too rough, they tender in to an alternative site. Does anyone know where? We just want to be prepared if we have an excursion planned.

The alternate site is at Spotts, on the south shore of Grand Cayman about 4 miles east of George Town.

Last February when we were on Freedom we didn't tender in because they said the wind was too high. We just had another sea day.

On our November 08 cruise the ship could not tender due to high winds, so we had another sea day. I have to say we were disappointed but what can you do, Mother Nature always wins! So I am keeping my fingers crossed that on our spring break cruise we will actually be able to tender.

You can't fight with Mother Nature, that is for sure. Well, I suppose you can, but, good luck. :) We are thinking about renting a car, and they have a shuttle that will pick us up. But, it sounds like the alternative landing site isn't too far away. And, if we can't make it at all . . . . . well, we need to ask them about that before we make reservations. Thanks everyone. :)
