CCH828 Posted August 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2010 What is the best, most useful gear you've taken on a cruise? Here are some of the things we are thinking of taking for our 16 month old (Caribbean, October). Feel free to critique my list, or add to it! stroller (lightweight, Joovy Kooper) snack bags/insulated tote dish soap/sippy cups inflatable tub or baby pool baby watershoes/rash guard shirt sunscreen/medical kit Ergo baby carrier baby backpack/harness What else? RoadTripFanatic Posted August 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Large Ziplock bags. These are a lifesaver! When you go on an excursion you can pack your child's change of clothes (because if you don't pack a pair your child will soil their clothes the minute you are an hr from the ship) in the ziplock bag. If there is an accident you have a sealed bag to keep the smell/mess from spreading all over your diaper bag. I also put the sippy cups in a gallon sized bag when I go out on excursion just in case they leak!! This has been a very handy thing to do on plane flights too d/t pressure changes cause the sippy cups to leak all over the place. Small Gerber Juice containers. We washed, refilled them and stored them in the rooms mini-fridge. They were great to toss in the bag on our way out the door! Also pack your child's favorite snacks for the trip! rin1 Posted August 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2010 I haven't cruised yet with baby, but I would definitely take either the Ergo or a backpack and not both. Pick your favorite and use the space for something else.
