TurtleTagger Posted August 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Dune Buggies are illegal in Grand Cayman, so it may have been another port. They do have Jeep safaris (don't really need a jeep to explore the island though).
drew sailbum Posted August 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Almost all of the roads in Grand Cayman are two lanes and paved. Jeeps or other 4x4's really are not needed. The few unpaved roads are a series of service roads (variously called dike roads or sometimes marl roads). These provide access for mosquito control purposes or truck access to some quarries. There are several in the Barkers area of West Bay. As far as I know the 4x4 Jeep tour stays on the paved roads.
