Just back from a week on Grand Cayman

We were already sailing and did not see this post or maybe we would have tried Smith Cove.

But we did snorkel Cemetery Beach and it was great! We saw a stingray, an eel, lots of beautiful colorful fish, coral, sponges, etc. However it is a 200 yard swim to see the best of it, so it was not real easy snorkeling from the beach... The beach and water are WONDERFUL! Even on a Saturday it was not at all crowded.

Hi

Thanks for the GC update.. I'll be there on a cruise in July.

By any chance were you able to tour the East End of the island? DH/I own a timeshare there (Morritt's) and was curious to know what that area was like. If you or anyone else has information from a current vacation that would be great.

DH/I have a favorite place to hang out in GeorgeTown, "On the Rocks" restaurant. It's a bit of a wallk from the pier but it's near "Captain Jacks" or something like that (could never remember the name but I remember it was yellow). Any information on that would be appreciated.

Great pictures BTW!

C Ya!

Can someone just tell me more about the island? Is 7 Mile Beach close to where we will tender in? I understand the beaches are free, right? Are there just a bunch of spots where you can be dropped off at 7 Mile Beach and tehn walk around? Is the Courtyard, Hyatt, and Seagrape all on 7 Mile Beach? If so, can you walk to all of them? Is there shopping near 7 Mile Beach? Thanks for clarifying for me.
