Formal Night MCR with Kids

I am asking this really early hoping I can watch for some good deals between now and when we sail.

 

At the time of our cruise our boys will be 1.5 and 4 years old. We only have one formal night on our cruise and we (the 3 adults, potentially 5) would like to attend. What do I dress the boys in?? I do not see a suit working well, and it would really just be for the cruise. Would dress pants and a nice shirt work?

Just about anything would be fine, especially if the adults were dressed for the occasion.

A nice shirt and dress pants would be perfect. Because they are only for the cruise, scan places like consignment stores to see if you can find some good quality used clothes for cheap. Helps with the costs at the very least.

I think the kids can wear anything. Basically its a photo opportunity night for everyone. If you plan on getting pics made, dress them in what you want them in pictures. Have a fantastic cruise. :D

My kids have never worn suits. Nice pants and a polo or dress shirt is sufficient.
