Maps

It's been mentioned that one of the things to take with you is maps of the ports. Where would the best place be to get these?

We're scheduled for the Western Caribbean and would like to possibly have some maps before we go.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

The maps Princess gives you in the Port Guide along with the Patters are out on Princess.com and can be printed in advance.

I've deleted my link but will look for it a bit later. Maybe someone else that reads this will remember how to navigate to it as it is not obvious.

Larsen is correct, but they're available only for some ports. To get to them, take the following link to get to the shore excursions page:

http://www.princess.com/planner/shorex/shorexdisplay.jsp

From there, pick your destination, then port of call. Once the page redraws, in the last sentence of the top right section there may or may not be a link that states "Click here to view a more detailed guide of your selected port.". If the port of call you chose has this, you'll get a copy of your port guide in PDF format.
