Dolphin Swim Age Requirement

We will be Cozumel on an October cruise. My boys want to do the dolphin swim at Chankanaab Park. On all the websites, there is an 8 yr old age/ 4.5 ft height requirement. My youngest son will be 4 months shy of 8 years old, but already reaches the height requirement. How do they verify that the child is 8 years old? Should we book it and run the risk of him not being able to do it. He really does look older than his age and is already a very good swimmer (we own a pool). What does everyone think?

I haven't had any trouble getting authorizations for almost 8 years old and even almost meet the min. height requirement. The min. is a guideline but if there are parents participating and the child is close to the min and a good swimmer it shouldn't be a problem. I would just ask for the authorization ahead of time so you won't have any trouble once you get there.
