Grumpy1 Posted October 19, 2010 #104 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Does anyone have a picture of the bow in it's current state? I have a picture taken from the top deck looking down at the bow before any repairs were made and after the railings and struts were repaired. I'll put them up on the web and link them here. I don't have any that were taken from in front of the ship. There has been a fairly large dent in the bow since I first saw Prensendam in January 2005. I asked Capt Gundersen about it and he said it encountered a 40 ft wave at 20 knots. He also indicated that it wasn't when he was onboard... Mary Ellen Posted October 19, 2010 #105 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Thank you Grumpy the excellent report. I had DH read it before he went to work this morning. We're looking forward to seeing your pictures. Please give our greetings to the lovely Slinky. Also, we'd like to thank you for saving our keisters that night in Hamburg. None of the rest of us at dinner that night had thought to have our room keys changed to reflect our new table. We've learned from that experience. ;)
