Just a heads up for those who may be booked on the Splendor but have not received the email from Carnival. The email from Carnival that I received today states:

September 15, 2010

Dear Carnival Guest:

We know you must be looking forward to your cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor. Get ready because the FUN is just around the corner! We just need a minute of your time to let you know about a minor change to our itinerary for all seven-day sailings on the Carnival Splendor commencing November 7, 2010.

Since we want to get a jump-start on all the fun, we’ve moved our departure time up by one hour. We will now be sailing at 4:30 PM (instead of 5:30 PM). Additionally, our time in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has been modified. Below is the revised itinerary:

Day Port of Call Arrive Depart

Sun Los Angeles, (Long Beach), CA 4:30 PM

Mon Fun Day at Sea

Tue Fun Day at Sea

Wed Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 9:00 AM 9:00 PM

Thu Mazatlan, Mexico 9:00 AM 6:00 PM

Fri Cabo San Lucas, Mexico 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Sat Fun Day at Sea

Sun Los Angeles, (Long Beach), CA 9:00 AM

We’re looking forward to welcoming you aboard the Carnival Splendor for a fun and memorable cruise vacation.

There's two changes from our original itinerary and both minor. Departure is an hour earlier which doesn't effect us since we get to the port early anyway. Puerto Vallarta has been changed with departing at 9pm instead of 10pm. Again no biggie to us. I wanted to post it here in case someone sailing after the changes hasn't gotten their notice. Carnival was great in identifying this email as "IMPORTANT NOTICE" :)

Interesting as today I have been trying to book an August 2011 cruise on the Splendor for some friends and it will not load on the Carnival website. BUT they do on other travel websites?!?! Donna

It's crazy how that happens. If you go to Carnival's website and go to the ships and select Splendor then hit itineraries you can get to all the 2011 sailings. You'd think it would show up on the regular searches since that's how most people look for cruises.

It is listed but this is what you get when you click on it..
