Ships R Great Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2010 If one needs a wheelchair at the port how is it requested? Can others in your party (DH and one couple) go with you to the assisted area for embarkation?
2SeaWithMe Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Do you mean Bayonne, NJ? Either way, I just called the cruise line and arranged the wheelchair and embarkation and debarkation assistance. In the past my husband always just went with me, so I doubt there would be a problem boarding your whole party at once. :)
Ships R Great Posted September 16, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Thanks. It seems there is a long walk involved and my knees just aren't up to that.
2SeaWithMe Posted September 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2010 It can be a long walk, and an even worse amount of standing! Better to start your vacation in as tip-top shape as you can, than just be exhausted and starting off your trip that way.
