Dan Askin Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2010 We've been in Alaska for the past four days previewing Disney's approach to shore tours. In Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau, the line is going to be tweaking the greatest hits (fishing derby) and offering some unique onshore experiences (dog sledding). If anyone has anyone questions, ask away. And don't forget to play some trivia -- we have some great Alaska swag to give away. http://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1186
tericelia Posted September 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2010 I'm very interested in knowing more about the shore excursions! We are booked on July 5 on Wonder going to Alaska. Since shore excursions are typically rather expensive, I will wait to book our activities in Vancouver until I find out how much I'll be spending during the cruise. I'm thinking of all five of us arriving in Vancouver 4-5 days early to see the sights, maybe take the train to Whistler or the ferry to Victoria. Those activities, along with hotel and dining, will be costly. Maybe I should spend less time and money there, and save it all to spend on shore excursions. The kids would love a dog sled ride! I'm also wondering about the pre-cruise activities Disney might plan for Vancouver. Any info on that? Thanks, Teri
